Ogi, artist and animator

Ogi, artist and animator was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Ogi later moved to the Bay Area to study Illustration from California College of Arts Crafts in 2004.

His works include mediums such as handmade paper-clay toy figures, acrylic paints, wood, lined paper, and canvas, as well as digital renderings. His art style is based on Japanese pop art.

Ogi how resides in Japan and exhibits his works internationally. He frequently moves back and forth from Tokyo and San Francisco. Has most recently shown works at Giant Robot, Receiver Gallery, White Walls, and Park Life.

He is recently featured in the in the new Io: Art of the Wired book: Io: Art of the Wired is here to clobber the gloss with a voyeuristic trip into the lives and minds of these deviant artists. Featuring 7 artists in a celebration of pop culture. Among the 7 artists featured in book is Hyung-tae Kim.
