Office Business Center Association of New York

Office Business Center Association of New York (OBCANY) is a non-profit, professional trade association organized to serve the best interests of participating Office Business Centers (OBC’s) and their clients. The mission of OBCANY is to increase awareness of the industry in the Greater New York City area with other businesses, the general public, and the real estate industry, while fostering education and cooperation among local OBC’s, so as to advance the industry, and improve the operating efficiency and profitability of all its members.

An office business center is an office space alternative to traditional commercial real estate, usually provided furnished, and including support services such as receptionist, technology, secretarial and document production support. Although the concept of the Office Business Center has been around since the late 60’s, recent years have seen the business peak with well over 5000 centers in the USA and many more thousands worldwide.

OBCANY was founded in late 2004 by a few competitors who had a vision to promote their industry and share best practices. Less than two years later, the association is represented by over 40 member centers providing over one million square feet of serviced office space to entrepreneurs and multinational firms alike.

OBCANY is a Local Member Network of Office Business Centers Association International.
