Oahu Ghost Tours
Oahu Ghost Tours is a Honolulu, Hawaii based company that provides ghost tours of some of Oahu's most haunted locations. Oahu Ghost Tours is a subsidiary of The Real Hawaii Eco-Cultural Excursions, which has been in operation in Hawaii since 1999.
Oahu Ghost Tours officially started operations in Hawaii in 2006. Its founder, Chris Spears, has conducted tours in Hawaii since 1999. Oahu Ghost Tours was created as a takeoff of A Tour that was being done by its parent company. This tour, called the Real Sacred Excursion is a visitation of sacred Native Hawaiian sites around the island of Oahu. Many are filled with mythology and folklore.
Famed Hawaiian historian and storyteller, Glen Grant (February 23, 1947 â June 19, 2003) was instrumental in telling the stories of the haunted sites of Hawaii, both in written and audio form. Though Glen didn't create the haunts (many were created hundreds of years ago), he made them household names in his many books.
Oahu Ghost Tours visits many of these sites, and has continuously updated the information about them since Glen Grant's passing. The company is one of only a couple that visit the famed, and extremely haunted Morgan's Corner on a regular basis.
Oahu Ghost Tours conducts three tours on Oahu. The first is a walking tour of downtown Honolulu sites called Honolulu City Haunts. The second is a driving tour of major haunted and paranormal sites around the island called Orbs of Oahu. Finally a day tour, called the Sacred Spirits tour, is a visitation of several Native Hawaiian sacred sites such as heiau, fishponds, and petroglyphs.
Oahu Ghost Tours senior guide is a well known keyboard player for the Hawaiian music group Kawao. Known to many as "Uncle Joe", Joe Espinda Jr. is a leading voice on Hawaiian culture and on Hawaiian paranormal. He has been featured in numerous articles and television shows.
