Nuh ibn Zbigniew

Nuh ibn Zbigniew (born 20 Shabaan 1393 A.H.) is a Canadian Muslim, Da'ee and student of knowledge. He is a former Christian cleric and speaks regularly in Canada's National Capital Region. Nuh hosts an Islamic radio program on called Light on the Path on CKCU-FM and is known internationally for his poetry and short stories.

Personal life

Early years

Born into a Catholic family, Nuh ibn Zbigniew embraced Islam in 1996. He pursued traditional Islamic studies with Shaykh 'Abdullaah Ibn 'Abdur-Rahmaan Al-Ghudyaan and Shaykh Aboo Usaamah Wasi-Ullaah ibn Muhammad Al-'Abbaas from Saudi Arabia receiving ijaza ( الإِجازَهْ ) in aqidah ( عقيد ) and fiqh ( فقه‎ ). In 2009 he became the head librarian for the Ottawa Muslim Association which focuses on serving the intellectual needs of the local Muslim community.

Present

Nuh ibn Zbigniew hosts an Islamic radio program on CKCU-FM and is involved with a number of local dawah organizations. He gives talks in Ottawa and other parts of Ontario on matters of aqidah ( عقيد ) and fiqh ( فقه‎ ). He serves as a Canadian member for Moonsighting Committee Worldwide and also contributes to the Muslim Link and other Muslim community newspapers.
