Novoseek
Novoseek is a free biomedical search engine developed by Bioalma, a firm specializing in Bioinformatics. It has been developed using a technology based on semantic web technology.
The search engine currently indexes the MEDLINE database, full text articles from Open access journal in PubMed Central and US awarded grants. The novoseek interface consists of the results page and a sidebar that displays the related concepts to a search and therefore allows to perform complex searches in an easy and intuitive way. New functions allow to perform more tasks such as checking search history, saving searches, creating email alerts or tagging documents.
The search engine is intended as an alternative to PubMed.. Novoseek is accessed through research groups in EMBL and biomedical and chemical online database providers as Genecards and Pubchem .
