Nora Benavidez
Nora Benavidez is an American civil and human rights attorney and policy advocate whose work focuses on democracy, free expression, media integrity, and digital governance. She has advised organizations, lawmakers, and journalists on technology policy and disinformation, and has appeared in national and international news coverage related to free speech and online safety.
Career
Benavidez has worked with civil society groups and policy partners on issues including platform accountability, voting rights, and digital misinformation. She has spoken publicly AbOUT the impact of online harassment and extremist content, and her commentary has appeared in national and international reporting on social media governance and democratic risk.
Her views on misinformation, political violence, and democratic participation have been featured on programs such as Politically Georgia from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Between The Lines radio news, and the Democracy Is podcast.
