Nixit Limited is a consumer health and sexual wellness company based in Toronto, Ontario.
History
Nixit was founded in August 2018 by Rachael Newton, a former lawyer who aimed to develop an alternative to traditional menstrual cups. After about a year of research and development funded through personal savings, Nixit launched its menstrual disc in February 2019. Since then, Nixit has expanded beyond menstrual care into sexual wellness products.
In April 2020, Nixit received a Class II medical device license from Health Canada under the classification of a menstrual cup.
In 2023, Canadian Business named the company "Best Self-Care Innovator" in its CB Innovation Awards.
