Nexyz. Corporation (株式会社ネクシィーズ Kabushikigaisha Nekushiizu; Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4346) is a publicly traded holding company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Nexyz. Corporation controls a group of online media, sales and other companies, with eight major offices located throughout Japan.

Company History

Nexyz. Corporation was originally founded as Japan Electric Communications (Nihon Denki Tsushin 日本電機通信) in May 1987 in Osaka, Japan by Takami Kondo, a 19-year-old entrepreneur. After changing its corporate name to Nexyz. Corporation in December 2000, the company conducted an initial public offering in March 2002 on the Nasdaq Japan market (Osaka Stock Exchange), and later on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and First Section of the Osaka Stock Exchange in November and December 2004. Takami Kondo remains President and Representative Director of Nexyz. Corporation as of December 2012.

At the time of the Nexyz. Corporation IPO, Takami Kondo was the youngest executive ever, at age 37, to lead a publicly traded company in Japan

The corporate name "Nexyz." is a combination of the words "next" and "xyz," representing the company's focus on continuously looking toward new challenges.

Broadband Business Segment

Nexyz. BB Services (Nexyz.BB)
:Nexyz.BB sells Internet access to consumers, receiving monthly subscription payments called ISP Usage Fees. In addition, Nexyz.BB offers restaurant and hotel discounts, free LAN, security, and other related services. ISP Usage Fees collected by Nexyz.BB includes payments received for these add-on services.

Nexyz.BB Subscription Sales (Nexyz.BB)
:Nexyz.BB sells Nexyz.BB services, mainly through telemarketing. This allows the company the chance to interact directly with the customer, proposing the best service according to the customer needs for connection speeds and other add-on services. This sales method also lets Nexyz.BB work directly with consumers who may have never used the Internet. Nexyz.BB receives performance-based incentives from Internet infrastructure companies for signing new subscribers.

Solutions Services Segment

Solutions Services (Brangista)
:The Nexyz. Solution Services Business provides product/service sales support for corporate clients. The Brangista business model is to sell cross-domain products and services, helping clients win new customers and engage repeat business. More specifically, Brangista activities including creating e-commerce websites, selling inventory management software, insourcing telemarketing services, and offering email broadcasting and sales promotion services.

Advertising Sales and Placement (Brangista)
:Brangista offers clients advertising sales and placement services, mainly through its monthly online travel magazine, Tabiiro. Brangista contracts with notable Japanese celebrities to use in articles featuring seasons and travel destinations throughout Japan. Tabiiro clients consist of inns, hotels, restaurants, and leisure facilities, for which Brangista creates feature articles and guide maps.

Brangista also provides an online reservation service for clients through the Tabiiro website.

New Securities Trading Accounts (Nexyz.Trade)
:Nexyz.Trade uses telemarketing, special websites, and Internet advertising to approach consumers who are interested in opening online stock trading accounts. Nexyz.Trade also provides new account setup and after-service support for SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. Nexyz.Trade earns commissions out of fees generated from trading account activity.

Insurance Agency Services (Sonia Partners)
:Sonia Partners uses telemarketing to sell insurance products. The company receives a portion of commissions generated from premiums.

Recurring Commissions from Information Systems Providers (Nexyz. Corporation and Others)
:Nexyz. Corporation and others Group companies conduct telemarketing sales on behalf of information systems companies, receiving recurring commissions from a portion of subscriber fees.

Cultural Education Segment

The Nexyz.Group operates kimono dressing, cord braiding, torn paper collage, and other classrooms. The segment also earns revenues from sales of kimonos and accessories.

Classroom Operations (Hakubi)
:Hakubi operates classes teaching kimono dressing, cord braiding, torn paper collage and other traditional Japanese cultural arts. The business attracts students in locations all over Japan to participate in classes led by expert instructors. Hakubi revenues come from monthly class fees paid by students.

Kimono and Accessories Sales (Hakubi)
:The Hakubi business sells kimonos and accessories through classes, seminars, exhibitions, and local production facilities to students or members.

At 19 years of age, Takami Kondo founds Japan Electric Communications Co., Ltd. (Nihon Denki Tsushin 日本電気通信), a home telephone sales business in Tennoji, Osaka.

February 1990

Kondo founds Japan telex Corporation (株式会社日本テレックス) with ¥10 million in capital (Suita City, Osaka). The company introduces a flat ¥2,000 per month telephone service called Terumi System.

July 1991

Japan telex Corporation begins sales of mobile phone handsets representing NTT DoCoMo and IDO (now KDDI).

April 1992

Japan telex Corporation launches Tell me Credit, a private-branded credit card for customers to use in paying for Japan telex services.

May 1994

Japan telex Corporation moves its head office to Shibuya, Tokyo.

July 1995

Japan telex launches a PHS service; signs partnership to open the first "NTT Personal" store.
