Nauhatta Block

Nauhatta Block with population of AbOUT 1.6 lakh is Saharsa district's the 5th least populous sub district, located in Saharsa district of the state Bihar in India. There are 58 villages in the sub district, among them Nauhatta is the most populous village with population of about 25 thousand and Balugaon urf Chhatra is the least populous village with population of 189. Nauhatta is the biggest village in the sub district with an area of 21 km2. Nauhatta Block Headquarters is Nauhatta town. It belongs to Kosi Division . It is located 21 km towards North from District headquarters Saharsa and 167 km from State capital Patna towards west. Nauhatta Block is bounded by Sattar Kattaiya Block towards East, Mahishi Block towards South, Saharsa Block towards South, Supaul Block towards North. Supaul City, Saharsa City, Madhepura City, Jhanjharpur City are the nearby Cities to Nauhatta. Nauhatta Block consist of 58 Villages and 15 Panchayats . Baksuar is the smallest Village and Nauhatta is the biggest Village . It is in the 51 m elevation(altitude) . This Place is in the border of the Saharsa District and Supaul District. Supaul District is North towards this place.

Demographics of Nauhatta Block

The sub district is home to about 1.6 lakh people, among them about 84 thousand (52%) are male and about 77 thousand (48%) are female. 84% of the whole population are from general caste, 15% are from schedule caste and 0% are schedule tribes.
