National Institute of Management & Technology

NIMT (better known as NIMT Group of Institutions or National Institute of Management Technology) is a group of colleges, schools and hospitals established and registered under Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860. NIMT offers Bachelor, Master and PhD degree courses in Medical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology Engineering, Allied Science, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Journalism and Advertising, Hospitality and Law. NIMT also offers school level education from CBSE and CISCE Boards.

NIMT established its first self-financing Management College in Ghaziabad, UP in 1992. Since its creation in 1992, the group has grown to have campuses in Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Kotputli, Jaipur. The group has around 20,000 students and alumni and offers more than 53 programmes in professional education.

History

The organization was founded in 1992 and commenced operation in the start of academic year in July 1992. The organization started at its Ghaziabad campus located at Mohan Nagar on GT Road, AbOUT 10 minutes drive from New Bus Station of Ghaziabad. Initially it was affiliated to the AICTE, Ministry of HRD and offered only a post graduate diploma course, the 'Post Gradate Diploma in Management'. The course was offered in a total of 29 specializations. By year 2000 the group expanded into the state of Rajasthan with the introduction of Bachelor of technology (Affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and approved by AICTE it its new sprawling campus, which is located in the fast developing corporate and industrial hub Kotputli, Rajasthan. The campus is approximately 60 km. (a 40-minute drive) from the Delhi on National Highway 8 (India). The campus hosts all basic facilities along with hostel accommodation for students and staff.

By the year 2005 NIMT introduced MBA(Affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and approved by AICTE) and PGDM(Approved by AICTE) courses into this Rajasthan campus as well. In the same year 2005, NIMT expanded itself into a new state of the art campus and hospital in Greater Noida. The campus is located at the prime location of Pari chowk in Knowledge Park -1, Greater Noida. The campus is approximately 20 km. (a 20-minute drive) from the Sector 18, Noida and around 10 km. (10 mins drive) from Buddh International Circuit on the Yamuna Expressway.

NIMT commenced the batch of Bachelor of technology (B.tech) in Electrical, Information Technology, Civil and Mechanical Engineering operations from the start of academic session in August 2006. The same year 2006 NIMT initiates the first batch of MBA in its new Greater Noida campus.

In the following years it gradually introduced various other courses in its campuses.
