Naseer Shahir Homoud

Dr. Naseer Homoud , the Goodwill Ambassador for the Inter- Governmental Institution for the Use of Micro- Algae against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) is a citizen of Jordan .

As a longtime dental specialist, business, and philanthropic leader, Dr. Naseer Homoud is based in Qatar and is engaged in his business activities and social services simultaneously.

In spite of having various roles, Dr. Homoud is still associated with his profession as a dentist. He very often supervises his dental units in Jordan and Qatar.

Dr Homoud was born in city of Irbid in Jordan on October 31, 1963. He completed his secondary school from Irbid Secondary School. It was his effort that a high level delegation from the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM), Permanent Observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Council visited Qatar and had discussions with a number of Qatar- based social and charitable organizations for joint operations and efforts to fight with the menace of poverty, hunger, malnutrition and social challenges .

The delegation led by IIMSAM’s Director-General Remigio Martin Maradona visited Qatar on the invitation of IIMSAM’s Director (Middle East) and Goodwill Ambassador Dr Naseer Shahir Homoud. During the trip, the officials visited a number of organizations including Qatar Foundation, ASPIRE, Shafallah Centre for The Children with Special Needs, Qatar Olympic Committee, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) among others and exchanged their experiences.

The purpose of the visit was to see Qatar’s modules of functioning in the arena of social and humanitarian services. The officials met senior officials and discussed possible common participations and working partnerships with these organizations.
