Nagarukhra is a city and Census Town in Kalyani subdivision of Nadia district in the state of West Bengal, India.

History

Nagarukhra is a prominent urban local body in the district of Nadia – Nadia being one of the southern districts of West Bengal. Located on the banks of Jamuna River, Nagarukhra derived its name from its mythological past. According to one of these stories, During the Second World War, Nagarukhra, was the site of an American military base & Bagladesh war time it was a Indian Army basement camp station formed out of 25 villages in the district of Nadia.
