My Life, My Faith

My Life, My Faith is a 2006 autobiography written by international spiritual leader Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, who is the senior pastor of 120,000 member mega Manmin Central Church in Seoul, South Korea.

The first of a two-part autobiography "My Life, My Faith (1)," has been published in 35 languages, including English, Spanish and Portuguese. Initially, the book was published in Korean in 2006, and it has since been translated into other languages: Asian languages, including Indonesian, Japanese, Sinhalese, Tagalog and Vietnamese; and European languages, including Albanian, Armenian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

Summary and themes

Following his life from his time of medical difficulties, he became a born-again Christian after visiting a church in 1974.

From there, the story details the founding of the Manmin Central Church in 1982, and its expansion to include more than 120,000 members.

In 2009 and 2010, the Christian Telegraph named him one of the top 10 most influential Christian leaders.

In the book he outlined five points that contribute to the growth of the church, CBN(Christian Broadcasting Network) Indonesia (Jawaban News) reports.

Dr. Lee writes in the book, “I was always crying out in my prayer and was living in the fullness of the Spirit. And the Lord from time to time let me know about the things to come, and also great and secret things.” He goes on to claim that “God let me know in advance how the world situations would flow, and sometimes, He let me know about some very important figures.”

Bestseller and Reaction

The book has been a bestseller in the religion section of the Kyobo Book Center, one of Korea's largest book store chains. The book has been picked up by publishers around the world, including Naos in Brazil and Baruch in Ukraine. A Vietnam publisher of religious books has published the book in Vietnam, with official government permission.

A India pastor says tha Lee’s autobiography "My Life, My Faith" gives us a clear insight of how God intervenes in a person’s life to give him a blessing.

The book has been read by such people as the President of Honduras, the Penang Chief Minister in Malaysia, Minister of Human Resource Development (India), and the Minister of Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore, and the president and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters in the United States.

Editions

In this part II of his autobiography, Lee discusses events that he has experienced as a minister. Through his prayers, he claims to have seen miraculous healings.

He also relates his reactions to criticism and attacks.
