My Deviant Daughter was an early 1990s band from Dunedin, New Zealand, consisting of Kiri Winders, Emma Higham, Jeff Harford, and Jason Kerr. The members played guitar, bass, and drums, and all also performed vocal duties. The band split up after The Release of their only album in 1996.
Harford had previously been a member of seminal 1980s Dunedin band Bored Games, which had also contained Shayne Carter (later of The DoubleHappys, Straitjacket Fits, and Dimmer), Fraser Batts (later of The Chills), Terry Moore (later of The Chills) and Jonathan Moore (later of (The Orange). Harford and Winders have since worked together again in the band Valve, which released its first album in 2001.
Kerr went on to form U.S. based two piece Southkill with New Yorker John R Dudley in Washington, D.C.. Their first S/T release in 2003 was recorded by Phil Manley of Trans Am and Nikhil Ranade at National Recording studios in Washington DC.

My Deviant Daughter also produced a video shot on 16mm film that never saw the light of day for their only album.
