MTD Entertainment Corporation

MTD Entertainment Corporation was founded in 2001 as a private Florida S-Corporation. The corporation was initially founded as a Film and Television production company, but also moved into the fields real estate and theme park design.

The company is best known for its MTD Studios film division and 10 acre production complex located near Clermont, Florida. The company's corporate filing and debut feature film were first reported by the Orlando Business Journal in June 2000. Their first feature film was a drama AbOUT [...] dealers entitled Alone and Restless. It was completed in 2005 and was exhibited at multiple art houses and other small venues until its DVD release in December 2008. In September 2007, the Orlando Sentinel reported that the company's second feature film would be a horror project entitled Bloody 27. In February 2009, the web site GreenRoom Orlando also obtained details on the company's 3rd feature during a casting notice. Their third film would be an action film entitled Silent Night: Agent Down. In January 2009, the company also added a division dedicated to distribution and has released 8 films to date on DVD.

History

The firm was founded by filmmaker Michael Thomas Dunn after he released a trio of short films. The film division has since produced about a dozen documentaries and several feature films—becoming one of the more active production companies in Central Florida. The best known feature film to date was the horror film Bloody 27 starring Michael Winslow, Martin Seijo and Allan Medina.
