Mr Happy Face

Mr Happy Face is a team-building activity designed by a ragtag team of McMaster students. The game revolves around a small, rubber disc passed between a minimum of 3 people and an infinite number of players. The ultimate goal of the game is to get to know the people you are playing with. It's similar to Twister.

History

On September 29th, 2007 an intrepid group of Whidden Hall residents at the prestigious McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, were momentarily distracted from their studies by a miraculous polymer Frisbee. At first, William van Engen and Josh Scharf began an average game of catch. A vivacious vixen by the name of Jessica Monnaie joined in on the festivities. Due to the lack of space, a commons Room became The New site of the game. A new member, Dhaval Bhavsar, was drawn to the commotion.

Together, these four Founding Members began what would become known as the Mr Happy Face game. Thus, the rudimentary structure of Mr Happy Face was formed.

Structure

  • -You are to pass a disc to one of your partner without using your hands or teeth.
  • -The Frisbee cannot be tossed, but rather exchanged through physical contact.
  • -Every other receiver must receive the discus in the same fashion as the previous person.
  • -The one time you do not have to pass it the same way you are to transmit it to the opposite hemisphere of the body. (Example: you have the disc on your shoulder you would pass it to the other participant's leg)
