Mother and Jack

"Mother and Jack'" is a song by Robin Gibb, released first as the B-side of "Saved by the Bell" in June 1969. And it was released as the sixth track on his debut album Robin's Reign in 1970. This song was released on Polydor Records in UK and Atco Records in the US. The song features the bass guitar work by Maurice Gibb. The song was recorded in De Lane Lea Studios, London in March 1969. In Canada, Japan, France and in the United States, both A B side was released as a double A.

Bruce Eder at Allmusic describes this song as "calypso-flavored piece" that was sort of Gibb's answer to the Bee Gees' "I.O.I.O.".

The song was included on the Bee Gees' 1983 compilation Bee Gees on RSO Records. It was also included on Swan Songs: Rare Recordings, Vol. 3 on Wohnstubb Recordings, released in Europe on 2002.
