Mistress Carrie
Mistress Carrie is a DJ and music director for Boston Radio Station, 107.3 WAAF-FM (97.7 WKAF-FM Simulcast).
She is a native of Leominster, Massachusetts and graduated from Leominster High School. She holds a BA in broadcast communications from Framingham State College and an Associates Degree in Radio from Newbury College in Brookline.
Carrie has an obsession for PEZ dispensers and the Muppets.
Carrie and the Police
She is the self-proclaimed "Baddest [...] in Boston", and claims to have "kissed the [...] of the boys... and girls in blue" (referring to the local police) for her listeners, so that if a police officer stopped the listener on a minor traffic violation, the officer would let them off with a warning instead of a fine. Listeners of Carrie's radio broadcast are identified by a bumper sticker that reads "PROPERTY OF MISTRESS CARRIE".
Carrie and the Troops
She is a big supporter of the US Armed Forces. She was in Iraq as an embedded journalist with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. She had a special broadcast from Baghdad on the 5th Anniversary 9/11 where she interviewed Soldiers who were from Massachusetts, the special was called Boston to Baghdad. On April 5, 2007, Mistress Carrie was awarded The Commander's Award for Public Service by the Adjutant General of the Commonwealth for her volunteering to go to Iraq. She received this award while on the air.
