Miss Angola USA
Miss Angola USA is an annual beauty contest. The first official Miss Angola USA pageant was held on September 22, 2012, at the Warner Theatre in Washington DC. The event consisted of contestants who were judged based on the following categories: interview, personality profile, swimsuit, evening gown, and speech/presentation. The top ten finalists were: Valerie Alfredo, Miriam Barros, Isabel Candangi, Vanessa Figuereido, Daniela Matias, Lilia Piedade, Yara Carina, Suraia Pinto, Vaumara Rebelo, and Vania Ribeiro. The winner Vaumara Rebelo represented the Angolan Diaspora in the USA at the Miss Angola beauty contest in Luanda, Angola in December 2012. She was crowned Miss Angola 2012 and will be competing in the Miss Universe Pageant 2013.
