Mike Campbell (fighter)

Michael "The Beast" Campbell (born in Aurora,CO) is an American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He is most known for his cleaning out of New England local shows such as WCF and WEC as well as appearing on an episode of the Tapout Show.

Campbell had the potential to be an Olympic athlete. As a 21-year-old, with little professional guidance or mentoring, he placed third in the world in the Junior World Powerlifting Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa. Weighing just 190 pounds, Campbell could squat 666 pounds, benchpress 440 and deadlift 679 or so pounds. Yet all of that power came at a hefty price to his limbs and joints.

Mike has made an easy transition to MMA and has been back to his winning ways after sufering two losses in the WEC.

Mike is scheduled to fight february 26th 2010, in Wilmington Mass against Marc Stevens who is on a four fight win streak. {{-}}
