Miguel Rodriguez was a Filipino actor and model.

Born Miguel Benedict Rodriguez in 1962 in Manila.

In Showbiz Life

A handsome hunk with features that made him look a bit like the late actor Chistopher Reeve, Miguel Rodriguez gave Richard Gomez a run for his money. Actually, the two were once together in the sitcom "Palibhasa Lalake" with Joey Marquez completing the wackiness.

Miguel was leading man material, paired opposite the likes of Sharon Cuneta and Snooky Serna. In 1989, he even had three leading ladies in the movie inspired by a popular song, "Si Aida, Si Lorna o Si Fe".

Although not as in-demand in the mid-90's as he was in the late 80's, Miguel was still one of the hot guys, appearing in Dawn Zulueta starrer "The Maggie Dela Riva Story" (1994) and Kris Aquino's "Saan Ako Nagkamali" (1995). His last movie was "Huwag Mong Isuko ang Laban" (1996).

Death

Mystery remains to cloak the death of actor and once-upon-a-time politicians Miguel Rodriguez whose lifeless body was discovered last Feb. 14 by household help inside his house in BF Homes Internal Village, Talon, Las Pinas City.

Speculations are running high on the real cause of the actor's death. A certain Bernadette Puno, who claimed to be a cousin of Rodriguez, said the actor died due to "collapsed pancreas." The autopsy report has not been released yet.

Mediamen who rushed to st. Jerome's Parish Church in Ayala, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. He was 34.
