Michel'Angelo Ziccarelli

Michel'Angelo Ziccarelli (born April 23, 1978) is the founder and director of The House of Carmem Miranda Spatial Digitalisation and The Portuguese Speaking Section, both architectural practices developed to research urban culture, media and digital design.

Due his relations both to South America and Africa, Michel'Angelo's practices despite being based in Europe, remains very present in emerging countries such as Brazil and Angola. Michel'Angelo's posture as a ground breaking architect gained him quite a nice set of enemies who GeneRally refer to him as an egomaniac freak. At the same time many other people refer to him the godfather of digital architecture in South America.

Michel'Angelo studied Art History and Design since the age of 15 at the Panamericana School of Art in São Paulo, Brazil. Later he went to The Architectural Association School of Architecture 1 in London, England.

There used to be a website for The Portuguse-Speaking Section shaped as a kind of seasonal publication. That seems to be offline now but this is known as his official website 2.
