Michael Godard

Michael Godard (born in Southern California) is currently the #1 best selling artist in the U.S. and is widely considered the "Rock Star of the Art World". Today Michael Godard is considered one of the most prolific and influential artists of our time. He attended The University of Nevada in Las Vegas for Fine Arts and later attended The Art Center of Design in Pasadena, California.

His paintings incorporate the world's of drinking, gambling, and having a good time. Many of the themes involve animated olives, grapes, limes, and strawberries partying in different environments usually with a margarita or martini in the scene. You can find his party inspired artwork adorning the walls of offices, cruise ships, bars, and even the Pentagon.

Godard has made numerous television appearances. He has been on A&E's Criss Angel's Mind Freak, Oprah, American Casino, HBO's Cat House, Inked, ABC, NBC, OCN, KOCE, KCET, Evening Magazine, the Christopher Lowell Show on the Discovery Channel. A documentary based on his life, titled "Behind the Artist: Michael Godard", won best documentary at the NY Film Festival. Godard's book titled "Don't Drink and Draw", the art and life of Michael Godard, was given the award of Art Book of the Year.

He is a regular contributor and attraction at the Dallas Margarita Societies Annual Margarita Ball where he usually paints a painting live and has it auctioned off. The proceeds are donated to Dallas Childrens Charities. Godard's painting titled "Party With a Purpose" is a reflection of this charity event (which is the largest black-tie charity gala in the world) and is also the the last painting his daughter saw him paint before she passed away, shortly after he painted it at the 30th Margarita Ball.
