Michael Blakey (musician)
Michael Blakey (born 8 December 1958) is a British producer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known for being the drummer and composer for the 1990s rock band Tidal Force, Level 42, and Tears for Fears.
Early life and education
Blakey was born in London. He studied music in Madrid and Berlin.
He became a resident producer at Hansa Studios, Berlin in 1978.
MusicAL career
Blakey worked as session recording drummer, producer, and composer in the United States and Europe from 1980 to 1990.
In 1993, he went on to become a drummer and composer for the European rock band Tidal Force. While working with Tidal Force, the band released "Will To Power" on Atico Records in 1994.
In 1999, Blakey along with his two partners, John Guidon and Bruce Gladstone founded 2KSounds, a record label. The company worked with Brooke Allison and entered into a joint venture partnership with Virgin Records.
Music production and management career
From 1991 to 1994, Blakey acted as Chief of A&R in New York for Atico Records. He also produced numerous motion picture soundtracks that include the original musical soundtrack for Disney's Cinderella II: Dreams Come True.
Blakey and comedian Ron White partnered in 2009 to form Organica Media Group.
Filmography
Blakey was an executive producer of Ron White's Netflix Special, "If You Quit Listening, I’ll Shut Up!".

Blakey is married to Sasha Blakey. He is also a vlogger and has 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube.
