Michael Abbott Jr. (actor)

James Michael Abbott, Jr. (born July 8, 1978) is an American actor.

Background

Abbott is a native of Morristown, Tennessee and is a graduate of The University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Drama. He has appeared in numerous stage productions in New York City, along with productions across the United States in some of the nation's most prestigious regional theatres. He is also a member of the Tony-award-winning The Acting Company, created by John Houseman.

Abbott had a minor uncredited role in the 2001 Academy Award-winning movie A Beautiful Mind. In 2007, he portrayed Cleamon Hayes in the multi-award winning Shotgun Stories. He has also been a voice actor for the character Ralph Stricker in the 2010 video game Red Dead Redemption and its downloadable content (DLC) pack Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. He is currently producing and directing a documentary, titled Acceptable Limits, AbOUT the devastating health and environmental effects of an old nuclear fuel processing facility on a small Appalachian community in East Tennessee.
