Megan Cassidy

Megan E. Cassidy is an author and English professor from Lockport, New York currently teaching at Schenectady County Community College.

According to Cassidy, her first novel, Always, Jessie was "inspired by her own ten-year struggle with eating disorders and exercise addiction and the treatment she received, which finally gave her hope."

In addition to Always, Jessie, Cassidy has been published in print in One Hundred Voices Anthology and Pilcrow & Dagger.

Her work also appears online in Asinine Poetry, Gilded Serpent Magazine, Dying Dahlia Review, A Story in 100 Words, The Flash Fiction Press, Citron Review, FICTION on the WEB, WordHaus, Bete Noire, and Silver Blade Novellas.

Cassidy's second book, "The Misadventures of Marvin Miller" is a middle grade novel featuring an interracial relationship, published by 50/50 Press in May, 2017. The book received a 5 star review from Reader's Favorite Reviews, which stated, "The story is funny and lively, and yet moving at the same time. The author deals with a lot of life issues really well, including self-esteem, racism, bullying, and the importance of friendship."

Her first adult novel "Smothered" is an epistolary mystery loosely inspired by the Jon Benet Ramsey case. It will be published by 50/50 Press in December, 2017.
