MDS Medical

MDS Medical is a private, value-added reseller (VAR) based in Phoenix, Arizona. They support and deploy Electronic Medical Records and medical practice management solutions for ambulatory care practices within the United States. MDS Medical supports, services, and/or integrates solutions from Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., McKesson Corporation, and Allscripts. MDS Medical's core solution, Greenway Medical's PrimeSuite, was named "Best in KLAS" in three separate categories market segments in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report . PrimeSuite has been certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology since 2005.

PrimeSuite is a fully integrated medical billing, practice management, and Electronic health record system for ambulatory physician practices. PrimeChart was awarded the 2008 Best in KLAS ambulatory EMR software for 2-5 physicians and 2008 Best in KLAS ambulatory EMR software for 6-25 physicians. Greenway's practice management solution, PrimePractice, was awarded 2008 Best in KLAS practice management software for 6-25 physicians.

History

MDS Medical was founded in 1988 as MicroServices by William Schroeder, current President and CEO. MicroServices was a computer services and medical practice management software integrator for medical offices in the Phoenix Metro area until 2002, when it incorporated as Micro Development Services, Inc. ("MDS"). In 2003, MDS Medical was a value-added reseller for both MediNotes Corporation and McKesson Corporation's ambulatory care software solutions. It continued to sell MediNotes Corporation and McKesson Corporation solutions until 2007, when McKesson Corporation discontinued development of PracticePoint Manager, MDS Medical's core medical billing and practice management solution. That same year, MDS joined Greenway Medical's reseller channel, and in 2008 earned the Business Alliance Partner of the Year award for outstanding sales achievement. Currently, MDS Medical has ambulatory physician practice customers and hospital-owned outpatient clinics ranging in size from 1-30 physicians in 26 states.
