Maura Mendoza
Maura Mendoza was born in San Salvador, Central America. Since 12, she was in the MusicAL care of Claudia Acosta, one of the El Salvador's most prodigious voices. Also, she took acting classes with Fernando Umaña --Sol del Rio's famous actor/director.
In 2004 she debuted in San Salvador with "Noches de Broadway" (Broadway Nights). This was the first time ever that musical comedy had been presented live in San Salvador. The show had toured San Salvador and Santa Ana. Maura was part of the Salvadorian Lyrical Association. Her repertory includes themes from "Les Miserables", "Chicago", "Cabaret", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Little Mermaid", "The Sound of Music", "Cats" and "Evita". Maura was the lead singer of Super Star, a local glam rock band that plays covers from the 80's. Maura is strongly involved teaching music, and has being a vocal coach to young people for the last two years.
In 2008 Maura started to singing Latin-American music with "Café & Caribe" and working in her new project Anima Mundi, which include her own songs.
