Matthias Mende
Matthias Mende (Sheikh Mende)(born October 15, 1984) is a German business magnate, entrepreneur, socialite and computer programmer. Mende is founder and CEO of Dubai-based company 'MEMMOS' Enterprises, LLC and the developer of the famous Muslim prayer app 'The Imam App'. Mende was born and raised in Wittlich, Germany, and attended the Higher College for Business in BernkastelKues where he focused on Marketing, Public Relations and general Business Economics. Mende is currently living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Mende is currently focused in strategic Business Consulting and Social Media Management and the reasons for that he describes himself: I like to help people by bringing innovation and making life easier. I love the smart way of thinking and I am a strong believer in teamwork, which makes me a great asset for the Marketing, PR and Social Media industries.”
Mende also enjoys appearing in music videos and movies as an extra. He has previously mentioned that he dreams of one day becoming a movie director; he already supports producers and likes to have an input in any production taking place around Dubai.
Early life
Mende was born in Wittlich, Germany on (15.10.1984) as the first son of Peter Mende. His father was a technician and his mother was master tailor and a hostel supervisor in a hostel for the elderly. He grew up in a middle class neighborhood in the heart of Germany. Mende’s first experience with the technology and gaming world was at five years old with a Commodore 64. At the age of twelve he already owned his first personal computer in addition to his Nintendo and Sega consoles. He began his first small entrepreneurial experiments on Ebay, selling modified hardware parts. At seventeen, he became inspired by watching the movie Fast & Furious and his passion for cars began. He decided to open his first venture which at first consisted of online trading of car parts and later developed into becoming a powerful workshop of fully customized cars. By the age of 21 he discovered Dubai from a video his uncle shot during his holiday trip in the emirate. He decided overnight to ship his award-winning custom made Mercedes to Dubai and his move was completed 2 months thereafter. Despite complications with paperwork and contracts and the subsequent partial loss of his wealth, he managed to rebuild his business empire from scratch by using his wide marketing knowledge to create a new success story.

Mende is the owner of 2FastConcepts, which was established in 2004 in Wittlich, Germany. 2FastConcepts works on car customizations and modifications. Many of his cars have won numerous awards and one of Germany’s most famous Tuning Shows, RecaroTuning days. It’s the perfect finishing and artistic paint / body work which made 2fastConcepts quickly one of Europe’s leading Tuners of the industry. Mende always liked to cooperate with the best companies in each field, this way every result is an example of world-class.
2FastConcepts frequently helps to produce music videos by co-directing and arranging cars and filming locations. Mende himself produced the first German Hip Hop video in Dubai in cooperation with the German Leading company StreetCinema.
The company operation was put on hold when Mende left to Dubai in 2007.

The Imam App
Mende is widely recognized for being the developer and visionary behind the Muslim prayer app 'The Imam App' which he simply calls “the best Islamic app ever made”. After converting to Islam in 2008, Mende developed The Imam App to help himself and others pray correctly and easily. The app contains the prayers, time schedules and the body postures that are needed to adopt while praying. "Basically, I felt it was a bit complicated to pray and remember everything, being a native German speaker. I thought that many people may face the same... (problem)... on how to pray alone correctly, but are shy to speak and ask," Mende said to Khaleej Times.

CometCore Inc is a new Smartphone Brand. Established 2013 in Delaware USA. Mende serves here as President and Chief Business Development Officer. Currently the Comet Smartphone is in the prototype testing phase and is planned to be sold in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Originally born as a Roman Catholic Christian, Mende converted to Islam in 2008 after a half year research on the religion and the holy Quran itself. He is deeply attached to God and has chosen the name Sheikh as his new name, certified from the department of Islamic Affairs in Dubai. Mende has already mentioned that his app was a way of offering his service to Allah and when asked if any other Islam-centric app could be expected from him, his answer to Khaleej Times was, “not really, to be honest. I think my deed for Allah is done by finalizing this app.”
