Matthew Price (ice hockey)
Matthew Price (born July 29, 1988) is an Australian semi-professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Newcastle North Stars in the Australian Ice Hockey League.
Playing career
Matthew Price first played midget grade hockey for Newcastle of the New South Wales Ice Hockey Midget League in 2006. In 2008, he moved up to the Newcastle North Stars of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). During his first season with the North Stars Price played 26 games, recording nine assists and in the 2009 season he played 23 games, scoring two goals and recording six assists. Price is currently in his third season with the North Stars and is currently playing in the 2010 AIHL season.
Price has also been a member for the Newcastle North Stars in the East Coast Super League, a junior A ice hockey league since 2009 but has yet to play a game.
