Matthew Creed

Matthew-Michael Lynford Creed (born October 15, 1981) is an American award winning Disc Jockey, voice actor and child actor. He is best known for his DJ work as "Surge" on KCHZ Channel Z95.7 FM, for which he holds the record of being the youngest paid on-air DJ in a Top-30 Nielsen Rated market, being only 14 years old when he did his first broadcast in 1996. Matthew was also a child actor And Co-host on Kansas City's KSMO Channel 62 Kidz Crew from 1992-1996.

Early life

Matthew was born in Fredericksburg, the son of Judy (née Cady), a homemaker at the time- currently a medical specialist in Kansas City, and Jerry Creed, a retired Marine Corps Colonel. He has two younger brothers, Nathan (born 1983) and Mitchell (born 1985). In 1985 when Matthew was 3, the Creed family relocated from Virginia to Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in southern California. The family resided in the O'Neil Heights Subdivision on the base, and his youngest brother, Mitchell, was born was also born in the base's hospital. He attended Mary Fae Pendleton Elementary School from 1986-1989.

In 1989 his parents separated. Judy relocated Matthew and his brothers to the Kansas City suburb Olathe, Kansas, which is where his maternal grandparents were located at that time.
