Matt Llewellyn

Matt Llewellyn (born February 27th, 1984) is the Founder/CEO of Lluvia Bottled Water, the first all Spanish bottled water product targeted towards Latin Americans in the Western United States.

Llewellyn, a recent graduate from Pepperdine University received considerable notoriety in March of 2007 after launching Lluvia’s release party at Numero-Uno Markets in Los Angeles, California.

Matt Llewellyn was recently interviewed in Malibu’s newspaper, The Graphic, where he talked about the rapid growth and success of his product.

“Here is a product—so culturally relevant that it was one of the first bottled waters to be labeled entirely in Spanish in Southern California. Because a large percentage of Mexican Americans prefer to purchase their household items in their own language, it made perfect sense. In America, bottled water makes up 17% of the non-alcoholic beverage business. Why not tap one of the largest consumer markers in the world?”

Despite the rapid growth and obvious need for Lluvia bottled water, Llewellyn anticipates several barriers in the near future. Llewellyn hopes to partner with Niagara, one of the largest and most powerful independent bottled water vendors in the U.S.

Matt Llewellyn has developed and made arrangements with two of the largest Hispanic vendors on the East Coast. Lluvia will launch its product release in March of 2008 in New York city. Llewellyn will be attending Princeton University next fall to receive his MBA in Business Management.
