Marantz 2235

The Marantz 2235 was a stereo receiver and amplifier which was produced by Marantz from 1975 to 1976. The 2235 was sold in a removable woodgrain veneer cabinet.

Overview

The Marantz 2235 had two discrete channels with two sets of speaker connections (main and remote). It had a three band mono equalizer (bass, middle, treble), in the form of three notched rotary dials. The 2235 had two AC outlets on the back, one switched and one unswitched. The selector was also a notched rotary dial which had 5 positions: AM, FM, Phono, Tape 2 and aux. There was also a Tape 1 monitor button which would overide the selector. The inputs are in the form of RCA cable jacks in the back for all the inputs besides Tape 2, which is in the form of 1/4 inch TRS jack.
