Mantsho Maelane

Mantsho Maelane (born 19 August 1974), better known by his stage name Mantsho, is a South African singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. She is the pioneer of Gospel Music, a township gospel sound he describes as the mixture of "South African bounces, South African highlife, South African chord progressions, and South African patterns." Mantsho was born in Boipatong in 1974 and enrolled at Jet Nteo Secondary School, where she began booking artists to perform at college parties. She showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "Ntate lerato la hao", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at Sebokeng. Mantsho released his debut Album, AbOUT to Blow, in July 2013. She gained an international audience following the release of the 2015 single "Skin Tight". She inked a record deal with Wizkid's Starboy Entertainment in May 2016. Her second album, Ntate lerato la hao, was released on 10 February 2017.
