Manluluyong
In Philippine folklore the manluluyong is a supernatural predator that combines the traits of a werewolf and the sirens of Odyssey. Preying solely on men travelling alone during a full moon, she will present an image of hypnotic beauty, unspoken words and loving gestures before her victim. She then attacks them from behind. To kill one you must carry a dagger and when confronted with the temptress before you, you should stab behind you and flee from the dying creature before it can put a curse on you.
The word 'manluluyong' comes from the Tagalog root word of 'luyong' which means to hover. The manluluyong hovers through the air while searching for victims.
