Makatib AL Rasoul
Makatib al-rasul is a book consisting of letters and documents attributed to Muhammad. The book was collected by The Late Ayatollah Ahmadi Miyanji.
Author
The Late Ayatollah Ali Ahmadi Myanji was a jurist and man of authority. He was born in East Azerbaijan Province in Iran to a sophisticated family. He was a contemporary man of Science in Qom City. He left behind many great books covering religious sciences.

Al Makatib includes letters written by Muhammad addressing kings, rulers, as well as letters AbOUT convictions during that time.
Importance
The letters and writing of the Islamic prophet Muhammad existed in historical and religious books in a range of inconsistent formats and content. Al Makatib is regarded as the first author to attempt to collect and correct this writings.
Contents
Ayatollah Ahmad Miyanji divided the letters and writings of Muhammad to two parts. First those of letters read by Muhammad to Imam Ali and imam Ali has written Them. Second those of writings related to inviting rulers and kings around the world by Muhammad. This book is in Arabic language. And has four volumes. The book has fourteen chapters, as follows:
- Prefacing the letters by the expression"in the name God the most beneficent the most merciful"
- Explaining the words after The Expression"in the name of God"
- Evaluating the letters in terms of eloquence
- Explaining unfamiliar words and expression
- Discussion on question" whether did Prophet Muhammad write or not"

Style and Methodology
The author sources from many books including Hadith, History,and Sirah. He also accurately references every letter after introducing it. In addition to collating the different reports and sayings, the author also provides accompanying critiques and analysis.
Publication
This book was published for the first time in 1339 solar. Finally the book has published in 4 volumes along with corrections and additions of the author by Dar Al Hadith publication. The first three volumes of the book includes the original discussions and fourth volume encompasses the content of verses and narrations.
