Majid Talal Arslan is the eldest child of Emir Talal Arslan and Princess Zeina Talal Arslan and grandchild of Emir Majid Arslan II, hero of the Lebanese independence. Majid is part of the Arslan princely family (descendants of the Lakhmids, Kings of Al-Hirah) who is one of the oldest and most powerful Arab dynasties. Since the day of his birth, Majid is considered to be the heir to the House of Arslan whose current head is his father, Emir Talal. It has been a Druze hereditary leadership dynasty since the 12th century.

Majid first appeared on a solo social duty in July 2011 when he toured different Druze villages in Mount Lebanon including Aley and the Metn accompanied by the Interior Counsellor in the Lebanese Democratic Party. The Prince was greeted by towns' mayors and prominent Druze religious figures in order to introduce him to his community.

Prince Majid completed his secondary education in June 2012 at Collège Louise Wegman in which he has been enrolled since 1997.
