Mahmut Nedim Hazar

Mahmut Nedim Hazar; (born 1966, Şanlıurfa) is a Turkish journalist, writer, screenwriter, and documentary producer. He is known for his work in culture and arts, cinema, media, and investigative journalism.

Early Life and Education

M. Nedim Hazar was born in 1966 in Şanlıurfa, Turkey. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education there. In 1986, he studied Electrical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University.

Career

Hazar began his journalism career in 1989 as a reporter at Zaman newspaper. During his time there, he held several positions, including:

• Reporter

• Assistant Chief of Intelligence

• Night News Editor

• Culture and Arts Editor

While working at Zaman, he:

• Played an active role in establishing the research department

• Prepared comprehensive investigative files and article series

• Led the establishment of television and magazine departments

Hazar was among the founding staff of Aksiyon magazine, where he served as the culture and arts editor and wrote weekly film critiques.
