Made in the Shade (song)

"Made in the Shade" is a song by American Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. The song was recorded in 1974 and was released on the band's third album, Nuthin' Fancy. It was written by Ronnie Van Zant.
Content
The song starts with Ronnie Van Zant saying "Well when I was a young-un they used to teach me to play music like this here..." The song then begins with a classic blues sound, and the lyrics refer to an ungrateful girl in a relationship.

A notable cover of this song was released by Hank Williams Jr. in February 1983, on his Strong Stuff album.
