Luis Camillo Almeida
Luis Camillo Almeida (born January 2nd, 1974, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is the first Brazilian in history to be a collegiate golf coach at an NCAA affiliated institution in the United States. He is the head golf coach at Waynesburg University, a division 3 school, located in Western Pennsylvania since August 2008. Almeida has won dozens of golf tournaments, played on the Brazilian National team, and is a Certified Master Teaching Professional at PGTAA (Professional Golf Teaching Association of America).
Almeida is the son of Alfredo D. P. Osorio de Almeida, former Country Money of Hecket Multiserv Brazil (Sobremetal), President of IMS-Tubecity Brazil and son of Count Alfredo Dolabella Portella. His uncle, Jose Luiz Osorio de Almeida II, is a former partner of the Lehman Brothers Bank, former Brazilian SEC under the Brazilian President [Fernando Henrique Cardoso], And Co-founder of Jardim Botanico Investiments.
Almeida holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University.
