Luis C Almeida

Luis Camillo M. Osorio de Almeida (born January 2, 1974, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is the first Brazilian in history to be a collegiate golf coach at an NCAA affiliated institution in the United States. He is the Head Golf Coach at Waynesburg University, a division 3 school since August 2008. He is also one of the few coaches in NCAA history to win his first golf invitational as a Head Golf Coach. He won the Waynesburg Golf Invitational on April 6, 2009.

Dr. Almeida has won dozens of golf tournaments, played on the Brazilian National team, and is a Certified Master Teaching Professional at PGTAA (Professional Golf Teaching Association of America).

He is also the son of Alfredo D. P. Osorio de Almeida, former Country Money of Hecket Multiserv Brazil (Sobremetal), President of IMS-Tubecity Brazil and son of Count [Alfredo Dolabella Portella]. His uncle, Jose Luiz Osorio de Almeida II, is a former partner of the Lehman Brothers Bank, former Brazilian SEC under the Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, And Co-founder of Jardim Botanico Investiments.

He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University and an appointment as a Professor of Communications at Waynesburg University.
