Luis Balaguer

Luis Balaguer, who according to the current issue of Hispanic Magazine “is one of 2006 most influential Hispanics in the US”, started exploring in 1988 the entertainment business marketing magazines such as Star Internacional and booking musical tours for different clients throughout the USA, Latin America, and Spain.

By 1991 he had achieved success as a Musical Promoter and Manager for stars including the Gypsy Kings and Locomia.

In 1998 Balaguer established Latin World Entertainment (LWE) a company that today manages some of the US Hispanic market biggest stars, such as Sofia Vergara, Raul de Molina, Angélica Vale, Danna Garcia, Myrka Dellanos and Fernando Fiore. This division has been the first and only to break cross-over deals from the Hispanic TV Market to the General Market, such as Sofia Vergara starring in an ABC sitcom.

He has also been responsible for negotiations such as Colombia’s RCN soap opera hit “Betty la Fea” signing in 2001 with the Univision Network after becoming the highest rated soap ever in the competing network Telemundo.
