Love Begins

Love Begins is the first of two prequels of the Love Comes Softly series. It premiered September 17, 2011 on The Hallmark Channel.

Differences from the book series

Although this film is not based on any book, the story of Clark and Ellen is different in this film than is mentioned in the book "Love Comes Softly".

Summary

On their way to the California Gold Rush, two cowboys are arrested for getting in a fight and damaging a small-town restaurant. One escapes, but Clark Davis stays to work off his debt by fixing a farm belonging to two young women, Ellen and Cassie Cates. Over time, Clark and Ellen fall in love, but will Clark gives up his plans of striking it rich out west for the comfort of a family and home? Stars Wes Brown, Julie Mond, Nancy McKeon, Jere Burns and Abigail Mavity.
