Lou Santangelo

Lou Santangelo (born March 16, 1983 in Staten Island, New York) is a Minor League Baseball catcher for the Houston Astros organization. From Seton Hall University and Clemson University, where he was ranked among the top 100 college prospects by scout.com, he was selected by the Houston Astros in the 4th Round (124th overall) of the 2004 amateur entry draft, and signed on June 30, 2004. Santangelo was invited to the Astros' spring training camp in 2007 and 2009, and he currently plays for the Class AAA Round Rock Express.

In 2007 Santangelo became the first player to be suspended in the Houston Astros organization for failing a test for performance enhancing drugs.
