After the Holly Gribbs shooting, Jim Brass is demoted to [...] and Grissom is made head of the graveyard shift. Catherine vows to solve Gribbs' [...] and is irritated when Grissom brings in Sara Sidle from San Francisco to investigate Warrick's whereabouts the night Holly died. Grissom and Nick investigate the death of a 40 million dollar slot machine winner, who apparently committed [...] by jumping from a building.

Grissom, Nick and Sara find out that all is not what it seems when the wife of a rich man is abducted and buried alive in the desert. Meanwhile Catherine and Warrick investigate a hit and run that led to the death of a little girl.

A woman's severed leg found in Lake Mead leads Grissom and Catherine to uncover a case of adultery. Meanwhile Sara and Nick investigate a fraternity student's apparent [...], but find out that the student's pledging has gone terribly wrong.

Grissom and Warrick investigate when a victim dies of fear in the desert, apparently from being chased. Meanwhile Catherine and Nick investigate the gruesome [...] of a Catholic school dean. Sara investigates how the body of a woman who was buried the previous week ended up in a Dumpster.

Grissom and Nick investigate when the skeleton of a woman is found under a house, buried in cement. Meanwhile Catherine investigates a case in which her ex-husband Eddie is accused of [...]. Warrick and Sara search for a missing bullet that could either exonerate or indict a cop for [...].

When four members of a family are brutally murdered, the two daughters are the sole survivors. At first Grissom and his team suspect a cult [...], but the evidence tells an even more disturbing story.

When another staged [...] takes place, Grissom realizes he is dealing with a serial killer who has a thorough knowledge of forensic science. Meanwhile Warrick and Nick investigate a tourist's car that fell off a cliff.

Grissom and his team investigate the death of a first class passenger on a flight to Las Vegas. Their investigation is a race against time, because after 12 hours the F.B.I. will take over. To make matters worse, the other first class passengers are very reluctant to cooperate, leading the team to consider that they had some involvement in their fellow passenger's death.

Grissom and Sara investigate when the body of a woman is found in the desert, covered with insects. Grissom uses entomological evidence to discover the time of death. Unfortunately their prime suspect - the husband - was out of town at that time, and to Sara's dismay it looks like he is getting away with [...]. Meanwhile Warrick and Catherine try to find out who stole a painting. Nick deals with a missing persons case when a woman's car is found at a bus station.

When a woman is abducted from a supermarket, Grissom finds a text on a bathroom door that leads him to believe that five women have been murdered. Meanwhile Warrick and Sara have to put personal differences aside to investigate the apparent [...] and robbery of a man who has been found by his brother. Nick has to come to the rescue his friend, Kristy Hopkins, again when she gets into a scuffle with a hotel security guard.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick try to clear a man accused of [...] his wife and son in an arson fire. They discover Day Shift Supervisor Conrad Ecklie did some sloppy work. Meanwhile Catherine and Nick investigate the death of a teenage 'runner', who was shot at close range.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate when a bomb goes off in a Vegas office building, [...] a security guard. The prime suspect is the other security guard, who is over-helpful and also has the knowledge to make a bomb. After Nick spends the night with Kristy Hopkins, she is killed. With his DNA and fingerprints on the scene and Ecklie on the case, Nick's career is on the line.

When a single human bone is discovered in the desert, it's up to Grissom, Catherine and Nick to piece the skeleton together. Meanwhile Warrick and Sara investigate the death of a male stripper who died shortly after performing at a bachelorette party.

During a fundraiser at the home of Portia Richmond - a legendary showgirl - a dead woman is found floating in the pool. When Portia later disappears, suspicion falls on a young couple who 'house-sat' for her. The SHERIFF puts pressure on Grissom as well, as Portia's case affects his election. Warrick looks into a mob hit in a glass elevator.

Sara gets emotionally involved when she, Grissom, and Nick investigate the case of a woman who is abducted from a parking garage, raped, and left for dead. Meanwhile Catherine and Warrick take over a case from one of the dayshift CSIs who has quit. The case involves a neighbor's dispute that led to [...]. Not only has an important piece of evidence been lost, but the case goes to trial in four days.

Grissom, Nick and Catherine handle a case in which the fingerprints of a victim in an old kidnapping case turn up at the scene of a [...]. Meanwhile Sara and Warrick investigate the case of a woman who was incinerated in her easy chair. Sara suspects it's a case of spontaneous human combustion.

A single witness at a rain-soaked scene of a double [...] tells the story of a carjacking gone wrong. After the car is found and becomes a new crime scene, the case becomes far more complicated. Meanwhile Catherine investigates the collapse of an apartment building that killed three senior citizens.

Grissom's team investigates the kidnapping of the infant child of a rich family. However, when the evidence shows that the family is hiding something, the case takes a darker turn.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate a deaf man who was run over by a car. However, more investigation shows that he died before the car even struck him. The team's encounters with the dean of the deaf man's school reveals a secret about Grissom. Meanwhile, Catherine and Nick investigate an apparent mob hit that leaves five dead in a coffee shop.

Grissom, Nick, and Warrick investigate a jogger who was killed by a vicious dog in the park. The case gets complicated when they discover that the jogger's liver was surgically removed after he was killed. Meanwhile Sara and Catherine investigate the death of a six year old girl at a carnival ride, which gets Catherine emotionally involved.

On the day Grissom has to evaluate his team, Grissom and Catherine deal with a severed head that was found in the trunk of a stolen car. Sara and Nick investigate a headless body in the desert that appears to have fallen from the sky. Warrick investigates a [...] in a juvenile detention center in which his young friend James is the only witness.

Grissom and his team investigate a series of murders by a signature killer. The killer has enough knowledge of forensic science to leave little evidence behind. When the investigation seems to be at a dead end, the Sheriff brings in the F.B.I., to Grissom's dismay. Grissom's anger only grows when they want to lure out the killer, with Sara as bait.

Tony Braun, the son of Las Vegas mogul Sam Braun, is found dead in his home, apparently the victim of a [...] overdose. But as the scene lacks all evidence normally connected to an overdose, the team soon suspects [...].

The CSI team suspects foul play when university student Paige Rycoff vanishes into thin air. The team soon discovers she had an affair with a married Professor, along with a lot of other seemingly unrelated events. When her body is found in a trash heap, the team has to find out what led to her death.

When a construction worker takes a fall from the twelfth story at a construction site, Grissom is convinced the victim is electrocuted. But as the Sheriff and a lot of others have no trouble believing it's a [...] and the evidence doesn't immediately support his theory, he has to go through a lot of trouble to prove [...]. Meanwhile Nick and Catherine look into the death of a teenage boy who apparently suffered an epileptic seizure during a therapy session.

Grissom, Warrick and Catherine investigate when the class clown from a local high school is found dead in the boy's bathroom. They soon discover that there are a lot of suspects, as their victim bullied a lot of his fellow students. Meanwhile Sara and Nick try to find out the identity and cause of death of a badly decomposed body found in a leather bag.

Grissom, Warrick and Sara are sent to investigate when a former tenant leaves behind a blood-splattered apartment, and a missing girlfriend. Meanwhile, Catherine and Nick are confronted with what seems to be an urban legend turned fact: a scuba diver found in the top of a tree after a forest fire.

Grissom, Nick and Sara seem to have a clear-cut case when a young man is discovered burying a [...] victim in the desert. Warrick and Catherine investigate the death of a young woman who died in a hotel spa.

Grissom and Nick investigate the death of a book restorer who was found dead in a locked library cage. Her autistic co-worker turns out to be a very reliable eyewitness. Meanwhile, Catherine and Sara handle the case of a young woman who was killed when her car was hit by a train.

A [...] young woman is found dead in a sandbox at a park playground. The scars and liquid latex on her body lead Grissom, Catherine and Nick to a [...] club. Sara and Warrick investigate an armed robbery at a cash checking company.

Grissom, Nick and Warrick investigate when three men dressed as women rob a casino. Catherine and Sara are sent to investigate a [...] at a remote convenience store. They soon discover the two cases are related.

When Grissom has to go to a conference, and Catherine is off to Reno, Grissom leaves Warrick in charge of the graveyard shift's investigation of the [...] of a con man. Things get personal for Brass when he learns his estranged daughter Ellie is one of the suspects.

A famous real estate entrepreneur is found dead in a hotel elevator. It appears he died from NATURAL causes, but the CSI suspect he was poisoned. But this turns out hard to prove as organs are donated and the body cremated.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate when a young woman is found dead in a pipe at a construction site. Her sister is found nearby, also murdered. A likely suspect is one of the women's Internet relationship, an ex-con. Meanwhile Catherine and Nick look into a hunting mishap, but as their investigation develops, it begins to look less and less like an accident.

Serial killer Paul Millander returns, leaving another staged [...]. Upon finding a clue that connects all the victims, Grissom and Catherine end up in a court room, where the judge bears an uncanny resemblance to Millander. Further investigation reveals a startling secret about Millander's past.

Catherine gets involved in the kidnapping of a real estate developer's mistress. She has to accompany the man while he delivers a million dollar ransom. Meanwhile she tries to leave clues for the other CSIs who are on her trail.

When the body of a photographer is dumped at the Body Farm, Grissom finds out the man was shot to death, but there aren't any bullet fragments in his body. The case gets even more complicated when the CSIs discover the 12-year-old daughter of the photographer's girlfriend was the victim of child abuse.

Grissom, Sara and Catherine investigate when an ice hockey player dies in the middle of the game. Meanwhile Warrick and Nick investigate the apparent [...]-related death of a saxophone player at one of the local casinos. During the case, Warrick finds himself attracted to the singer who worked with the victim.

Grissom, Sara and Nick investigate the death of four Buddhist monks who were shot to death in their monastery near Vegas. Catherine re-opens the [...] of an old friend, when the man that was convicted for the [...] claims he is innocent. During the case she finds out some disturbing facts about how her old mentor handled the case.

The entire team investigates a bus crash in which nine people lost their lives. Before his death the driver claimed the bus began to vibrate, making it impossible for him to control the bus. The team has to find out whether the accident truly was an accident, or involved foul play.

A young woman is found murdered in her heavily secured apartment, clearly terrified of someone who was stalking her. The position of her body seems familiar to Nick, and as he and the others piece together the solution, Nick finds himself the stalkers next target.

Grissom, Catherine and Warrick investigate the [...] of an elderly woman who lived alone with a lot of cats. Meanwhile Nick and Sara investigate an attempted [...] with a pipe bomb placed in a car.

When a body is found buried in a park, covered in lye, Grissom and Sara discover the man was the victim of a hit and run. Meanwhile Nick investigates the death of a woman who drowned in the middle of the desert.

The former police chief of Las Vegas is found murdered and his 7-year-old daughter is found alive in Miami. Catherine and Warrick travel to Florida, where they assist the Miami CSIs in hunting down the killer.

The body of young woman is found in a shopping cart under a freeway overpass, her face horribly disfigured. The team soon discovers the victim was a fashion model and that her homeless sister is a likely suspect.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate when a poker player drops dead at the table during a high-stakes game. Nick and Catherine investigate a dead body found in an abandoned air strip, which leads them to the world of street racing.

When a famous movie star (Chad Michael Murray) is accused of a double [...], his lawyer hires Grissom's former mentor to find errors in the CSIs' work. Things get even worse when their personal lives are used against them in the trial.

Grissom, Catherine, Nick and Warrick investigate when a wealthy couple is murdered at their house, which was up for sale. Meanwhile Sara is sent to a local high school where a cheerleader was found eviscerated on the football field.

Grissom, Sara and Nick suspect [...] when the body of a dwarf is found hanging from a rope above the stage at a Little People's convention. Catherine and Warrick investigate a [...] during a home invasion.

Grissom, Warrick and Sara investigate when a woman who was already missing disappears while taking part in a magician's act. Things get worse when the magician burns to death on the stage. But Grissom soon discovers that all is not what it seems. Nick and Catherine find evidence of [...] when a rock star dies from an overdose in his trailer.

Fifteen years ago, Catherine helped to put John Mathers on death row for the [...] and [...] of a young student at a local college. On the day of his execution, he's granted a stay based on new DNA evidence. Meanwhile, Grissom, Nick and Sara are looking for a missing student, who is found murdered and left in exactly the same fashion as the women in Catherine's case.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate when a boxer dies in the ring during 'Fight Night'. Nick quickly solves a robbery at a jewelry store, but finds reason not to close the case just yet. Catherine investigates when a gang member is shot at a parking lot.

When Grissom and Sara find the actual crime scene at a basketball court, they discover the body of a man that was shot to death. Are the two murders related?

Grissom, Nick and Warrick investigate when a body falls from the sky and lands between a couple of skateboarders. But soon Grissom's hearing problem forces him to leave the case to Nick and Warrick. Meanwhile Catherine investigates the death of a man who was shot with his own gun.

Grissom and Catherine investigate when the chef of a fancy restaurant ends up in a meat grinder. They soon discover a lot more went on in the kitchen than cooking. Meanwhile Sara and Warrick find out that the apparent [...] of a young woman who suffered from bipolar disorder is actually a [...].

When a raven is spotted with a human eyeball in its beak, it's up to Catherine, Sara and Nick to find the rest of the body and the killer. Meanwhile a normal autopsy turns into a special one when the victim isn't dead. David and Dr. Robbins manage to save his life, only to have him die later. Grissom and Warrick then try to find out who wanted the man dead.

When the nine-year-old daughter of Warrick's former mentor is killed in a drive-by shooting, Warrick lets his emotions lead him to assume a suspect is guilty without looking at the evidence. Meanwhile Nick investigates when a man is found dead in a sealed computer room. All of the victim's employees had reason to kill him, but none of them claim to have seen a thing.

Grissom, Catherine, Nick and Warrick investigate a 'peeping Tom' who escalated into breaking into women's apartments and terrorizing them. Meanwhile Sara reopens the [...] case of a colleague's husband. The bullet that is still inside her friends body can help Sara find the killer, but her friend may not survive the operation to remove it.

In a special 90 minute episode, Grissom and Brass pay another visit to Lady Heather when one of her employees is found dead in a local club. Meanwhile Catherine is faced with a crisis when she has to save her daughter Lindsey from a flooded car and her ex-husband Eddie who was driving the car is found murdered.

Catherine and Warrick try to find evidence when the 5-year-old son of a professional basketball player is kidnapped. Meanwhile Grissom and Nick investigate when a man stumbles out of his car and dies...from a wooden stake lodged in the back of his head.

Sara finds out some disturbing news about her boyfriend Hank while she, Catherine and Warrick investigate a deadly car crash. Meanwhile Grissom and Nick find out that the death of a woman who died of carbon monoxide poisoning was not an accident.

Catherine, Nick and Sara investigate a badly decomposed body found in a chemical-waste barrel. They soon learn the victim was involved in something called 'Robot Rumble'. Meanwhile, Greg helps Grissom and Warrick solve the [...] of a man whose body is found in an alley, after being killed in his own home.

Grissom and Catherine investigate a man murdered in a movie theatre during the show. Meanwhile Warrick, Nick and Sara investigate the death of a teenager found shot to death in a bullet-riddled warehouse, where more than 100 rounds were fired from every conceivable angle, but was only hit once.

Grissom and Catherine investigate the [...] of a comic who dropped dead on stage after drinking from a tainted bottle of water. Warrick is sent to a convenience store to investigate the death of a 15-year-old boy only to find out the boy died after drinking the same brand of water. Brass asks Nick and Sara to investigate a case he ruled an accidental death after spotting the 'grieving' husband in a very expensive new car.

Grissom, Nick and Catherine investigate when a horse trainer is found dead in the cargo bay of a private jet. At first it looks like the victim is trampled by the horse, but Grissom and his team soon discover the situation is more complex. Meanwhile Sara and Warrick investigate how two teens could have committed [...] in the middle of the desert.

Grissom, Nick and Sara investigate when a woman is found dead at a high-school football field. The evidence leads them to a former convict and his prison [...] dealer. When an explosion destroys the DNA lab, injuring Greg and Sara and destroying a lot of evidence, Catherine and Warrick discover that one of the CSIs inadvertently caused the disaster.

The CSIs are called upon to investigate a bank robbery during which Detective Lockwood is shot and killed. Things get personal for Catherine when the evidence leads to casino owner Sam Braun. Grissom finally makes a decision about his hearing.

When a couple is murdered after meeting another couple in a bar, Grissom and his team suspect it is the work of a pair of serial killers. Nick jeopardizes the case when he gives an old friend some information on the case and it later turns up on the local news. The first of a two part episode.

When the suspects in the serial killer case are murdered, Grissom, Nick and Warrick suspect it's an inside job. Meanwhile Catherine and Sara investigate the death of a football fan who is found floating in his bathtub.

During a heat wave, Grissom and Catherine investigate the death of a baby who was found dead locked in a car. Nick and Sara look into the death of a woman who was found floating in the lake with a headwound. Warrick investigates the case of a man who died at his home of an apparent heat stroke.

Grissom and Catherine investigate when a man dressed in a raccoon suit is shot and then hit by a passing car, causing the car to hit a truck, [...] the driver. This leads them to a convention for furries. Meanwhile Nick and Sara investigate the death of a man found in a freezer.

When Dr. Robbins receives a severed head found by a dog, Grissom goes to Jackpot, Nevada in search of the rest of the body. When he arrives he soon finds out that he cannot expect much help from the locals. Even the sheriff seems to be hiding something. Meanwhile Catherine gets an unexpected gift from her father.

When the only piece of evidence is thrown out of court at the preliminary hearing on a [...] and [...] case, the CSIs have only 24 hours to find new evidence before the accused [...] is released.

The center of attention for the Las Vegas media is a missing model who aspired to become a showgirl. When a strange 911 call comes in, Catherine is sure she has found the man responsible and takes over the case from Sara and Nick, who both hoped they could use this high profile case to get a promotion.

When the new sheriff is witness to a car bombing that kills an air marshal, he puts pressure on Grissom to find the [...]. Remains of the bomb lead Grissom, Catherine and Nick to a high school science fair. Meanwhile Warrick and Sara look into the death of the wife of a popular singer.

Grissom, Sara and Warrick investigate when a 15-year-old boy is found beaten to death with a hammer at a construction site. Meanwhile Nick and Catherine try to find out how a woman was killed by a gunshot in her front yard while her husband and ex-husband were arguing over her.

When the only juror to vote 'not guilty' in a trial is found dead in the jury room, Grissom's team looks for the suspect among the other eleven jurors. Meanwhile Nick reopens a four year case when the sister of a missing person comes with new evidence.

Grissom and his team investigate a double [...] when a woman is found murdered in her house. The woman's striking resemblance to Sara causes Grissom to confront his feelings for her. The case grows more complex when the body of the victim's boyfriend is found disected and separated among multiple garbage cans.

Grissom, Warrick and Nick investigate when a halfway house worker is found stabbed to death in a bad neighborhood. Meanwhile Catherine and Sara investigate the death of a clown who was murdered and dumped in an area frequented by transvestites.

Catherine, Sara and Nick investigate when the body of a female prison inmate is found tied to the underside of a bus. What first looks like an escape gone wrong turns out to be a [...] when it is discovered the woman was already dead before she was tied to the bus. Meanwhile Grissom and Warrick investigate the death of a man stabbed to death in his apartment.

The CSIs investigate when a single man beats another man to death in a casino parking garage. They quickly discover that their extremely short-tempered suspect may be responsible for another [...].

When a teenage girl is killed in a house fire, Catherine, Nick and Warrick suspect a serial arsonist. Among their suspects are the girl's demented grandmother, a female pyromaniac and the high school baseball team. Meanwhile Grissom and Sara investigate the death of a champion in a popular word game, who is found dead in the men's room with several game tiles in his throat and stomach.

The CSIs have to drop out off the annual 120-mile 24-hour Marathon Baker to Vegas relay race when Grissom finds a dead contestant next to the track. Meanwhile Warrick and Sara investigate what appears to be a [...]-[...] when a male and a female cop are found dead in a hotel room.

Grissom, Sara and Nick investigate when a roller coaster derails at an amusement park, leaving six people dead. When it turns out there were only five people on the roller coaster, they suspect foul play. Catherine and Warrick investigate the [...] of a 13-year old girl.

The CSIs investigate when two young gamblers are found dead shortly after scamming several of Sam Braun's casinos. Grissom is forced to take Catherine off the case, because her father is a suspect in their [...].

The CSIs investigate when a casino employee is beaten and raped on her way home from work. The victim identifies her attacker, but the DNA evidence suggests that he is not the person responsible. Later, Grissom has to help out a coworker who ends up on the other side of the law.

Grissom works a nightclub shooting with Greg Sanders, who finally found a replacement in the lab and now only has to pass his final proficiency test. Catherine investigates when a stripper is found dead in a hotel room. Warrick investigates when a man is found electrocuted in his bathtub. Sara and Nick are called in when an 'alien' is found in a shallow grave near Area 51.

The CSIs investigate when a thunderstorm washes up a body in the city storm drains. [...] is soon ruled out, but the team makes another disturbing discovery: human bones that may have come from a [...]. The only problem is finding the location where the body was dumped.

The CSIs investigate the kidnapping of a 12-year old girl at the parking lot of a convenience store, which turns into a very disturbing [...]. Catherine attempts to re-assert her role as a mother when her daughter Lindsey has been picked up by the police for hitchhiking.

When two apparently unrelated women die under the same circumstances, Catherine and Nick discover that both women underwent various cosmetic procedures at a local Spa. Meanwhile, Grissom, Sara and Greg investigate when a man is found dead in a house fumed for termites.

Grissom, Sara and Greg investigate when a woman is found dead in the fountain of a gated community, after visiting a neighborhood swingers party. Meanwhile, Warrick and Nick investigate the [...] of a landlord in a video arcade, which develops into a double [...]. Catherine requests the position of day shift supervisor from Grissom.

While investigating a chopped up body on the University Grounds, the team finds out that they're dealing with the "Blue Paint Killer" again. The case gets confusing when the team finds out that the victim was male. Shortly after that they find another body, female. Can they stop the killer before he kills again?

Grissom has to work with Dayshift CSI Sofia Curtis when a high school student is found dead in a hotel room after a party. Assisted by Catherine, Nick and Warrick, they find out that another girl had been kidnapped from the party. However, the father of this girl doesn't seem overly concerned about his daughter's disappearance.

The CSI team investigate when a woman is found stabbed to death. They soon discover that the woman underwent a [...] change operation and have to delve into the world of the Las Vegas transgender community to find the killer.

When an unknown fingerprint suddenly appears on a piece of evidence in court, Grissom must re-open the case and find the real culprit. However, this unexplained phenomenon causes Ecklie to doubt Grissom's handling of the case. Ecklie then opens an inquiry on Grissom, and questions each of the CSIs about his effectiveness as supervisor. Meanwhile, Sara and Greg investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who shot himself in the leg.

Jim Brass travels to Los Angeles, California when his estranged daughter Ellie calls for help after her friend turns up missing.

Catherine has a brief romantic encounter with a stranger at a bar. When a woman from the same bar is murdered, the suspect turns out to be the same man Catherine met.

Sara and Greg investigate the death of two students in a dorm room. Nick, Warrick and Catherine investigate a man found dead in a 'crop circle.' Ecklie has to find out what happened to the corpse in the case he was working on when it turns up missing.

The CSI teams come together to save one of their own when Nick is kidnapped from a crime scene. To their dismay, a webcam feed provided by the kidnapper shows Nick buried alive with a limited supply of air.

After Grissom gives the kidnapper the ransom money, the kidnapper blows himself up without revealing where Nick is buried. The team must then use all their knowledge and resources, as well as race time, to find Nick before he runs out of air.

The team tackles three separate cases: a murdered couple found in bed in a suspicious trailer explosion; a stripper discovered dead in the worst part of town; and two bodies found decomposed after spending five days in the trunk of a car.

The CSIs investigate the suspicious [...] of a young movie star who is found dead after a night of partying in his hotel suite. Meanwhile, the team uncovers two murders among the immigrant laundry workers from the same hotel.

The CSI team investigates the case of a woman found dead on the staircase of her suburban home. Suspicion quickly falls on the victim's husband, but the blood-spattered evidence tells a complicated story.

The CSIs are called in when a homeowner finds a disheveled group of teenagers dumping a body in his yard. It is soon discovered that the group is a cult, but when Grissom and Catherine find the cult's headquarters, they find the members all dead from what appears to be a mass [...]. As the team investigates further, they find out that the mass [...] didn't go as the cult leader planned.

The CSIs are called to a house in which the inhabitants, a family of four, have gone missing, and large pools of blood cover parts of the floor. [...] is immediately suspected, but without any bodies, it's difficult for the team to ascertain what happened.

When a young mother is found dead in what appears to be a [...], the CSIs find evidence to the contrary, thus opening up a [...] investigation. Meanwhile, Grissom, under pressure from the Sheriff, must disprove the evidence presented by a corrupt entomologist in court.

The team must investigate the death of a police officer who died during a shootout, leaving hundreds of bullets at the crime scene. The case grows controversial when it turns out that Sofia Curtis and Jim Brass were with the victim during the shootout, especially when it turns out the officer died from friendly fire. The team, as well as the police department, also contend with the city's enraged Latino community when a young boy is found shot and in critical condition along the path of a fleeing suspect from the shootout.

The CSIs continue to sift through the overwhelming evidence from the shootout in order to determine who is responsible for the death of a police officer killed during the incident. The team also looks into what started the shootout to begin with. They must also prove that the young boy found injured near the shootout was not shot by police, but by the fleeing suspect.

Catherine and Brass investigate the death of a man found in a dumpster, who is found to have had a severe eating disorder. Meanwhile, Nick and Sara investigate the death of a couple of the brink of a bitter divorce, in which evidence seems to point to the couple's dog.

The CSI's are called out to investigate the disappearance of a boy whose father died four years ago. Soon a couple is arrested at a convenience store with a boy matching the description of the missing kid. However, the case becomes complicated when both mothers claim the child is their son.

The team takes on a poignant case as they investigate the death of a man with a condition in which he grows excessive body hair. They soon discover the man had a twin sister who, along with their mother, is mysteriously missing.

The CSIs investigate the stabbing of a motocross racer who was about to leave town with a woman he had been living with. Meanwhile, as Nick investigates the death of an attorney hit by her own car, he comes closer to the truth about his kidnapping.

The CSIs question the city's crème of the crème at a party to discover who killed a young man. As Catherine's father Sam Braun is once again a suspect, personal conflict grows between the two. Guest stars Faye Dunaway.

The CSI investigate two murders in the same area: a man killed in a shady motel, and a teenage girl killed in a car accident, but after getting out of her vehicle. The killer's story is also followed as they try to live a normal life despite his actions.

To their annoyance, the CSIs become the focus of a reality TV series, which follows them as they investigate a possible serial [...].

When a student is arrested and tried for the [...] of a popular high-school girl, the suspect's 12-year-old sister confesses to the crime, throwing the case into mayhem for the CSIs. Worse, the judge gives the prosecution 72 hours to re-examine the evidence before the jury delivers its verdict.

When a psychic is found dead in her own shop, the evidence leads Greg to believe she foresaw her own death. Greg also reveals a family secret as a form of aid to Grissom in solving the case, but Grissom firmly adheres to using his scientific methods to find out what happened. Meanwhile, Detective Packey Jameson, an old friend of Brass, links the case to one he worked on years ago in which the victim was involved, and persuades the CSIs to help him revive his old case.

The CSI team is led into the rap music world as they investigate the murders of three street team members. Features special appearances by Method Man, Obie Trice, Akon and Travis Barker.

A wealthy but disagreeable prosecutor is murdered at her son's wedding, and the CSI are called in to investigate. However, Nick's car is stolen with all the evidence inside it, and the case becomes compromised. The CSIs must think back to their investigations as well as search for new evidence to find the killer.

When a young Californian turns up dead outside his hotel after a night of extreme luck at the gambling tables, the CSIs are brought in to find out what happened. Suspicion immediately turns to the woman he spent the night with after his big win.

The CSIs strongly suspect a man in the death of his wife and his co-workers, but aren't sure if he did it, especially by himself or with an accomplice. The suspect then leads the police on a wild ride through a busy casino, taking a hostage and barricading himself into a hotel room. One of the CSIs then steps in as a hostage negotiator, putting themselves in danger.

The CSIs wait by the bedside of one of their own when they're shot in the line of duty. One of the CSIs faces a hard choice by having the power of attorney over their injured friend and colleague. Meanwhile, the rest of the team investigates the strange ways of life of two victims: a man found decapitated by a train and another man found dead in a hotel.

When an unidentified woman is found dead on the set of the famous show KÀ by Cirque Du Soleil, the CSI must study the inner workings of the show to find out what happened. The team also investigates what seems to be a [...] at a party held by Sam Braun. After the cases are solved and closed, Catherine and Nick go out for a dance, but Catherine ends up in a serious situation. Grissom and Sara then begin to investigate a [...] where a detailed miniature model of the crime scene is found near the body.

Grissom and the team continue their investigation from the end of the previous episode. Meanwhile, terrifying events face Catherine and her family.

The deceased victims in the CSI coroner's office give voice to their own [...] investigations for the first time: a drowning victim found in an elevator investigated by Catherine, a woman who fell off a cliff investigated by Warrick, Sophia and Greg, a soldier stabbed just after returning from Iraq investigated by Nick, and two victims of a chainsaw massacre investigated by Grissom and Sara.

The team investigates a series of brutal tourist beatings that take place within the span of a few hours throughout the city, all done by a bizarre group of hooded people with strange physical features. The case gets personal for the CSI when one of their own is badly beaten trying to save one of the victims during an assault.

Grissom and his team investigate the case of a woman found dead in a church. They soon discover evidence of a love triangle dating all the way back to the victim's high school years that could reveal who is responsible for her death.

When two young boys are reported missing, a known neighborhood [...] offender, played by Alan Tudyk, is the primary suspect. In an attempt to extract his confession, Grissom asks for the [...]'s help in catching the boys' abductor. However, the case turns out to be much more complicated than Grissom or the rest of the CSI team ever expected.

When an elderly woman is murdered, the CSIs look to the neighbor and nephew as possible suspects. Mid-investigation, Grissom receives an exact miniature replica of the current crime scene, changing his thinking on the crime. Meanwhile, Greg faces an angry courtroom when he attends a hearing to ascertain his culpability in the death of a teenager he accidentally killed while defending himself against a mob.

The CSIs investigate the death of two identical twins within a two hour time frame, on opposite sides of town. When the team discovers that the twins knew nothing of each other, they begin to wonder if the two cases are connected, or just a very bizarre coincidence.

The Cadillac of an infamous 1970's mob boss, Mickey Dunn, is found in a lake after he disappeared years ago. Shortly afterwards, a string of murders occur in which the killers almost eagerly leave evidence of their appearance for witnesses and the CSIs. Furthermore, an old picture of the victims standing next to Dunn outside the Desert Inn casino is planted on their bodies. The team must then find out what the connection is between the murders and Dunn. Guest stars Roger Daltrey from The Who.

Catherine and Brass find a man trapped in cement near a [...] victim at a construction site. However, after being rescued and ruled a suspect, the man refuses to reveal his identity. Meanwhile, Nick, Warrick and Sofia investigate the death of an old woman found in her apartment with her head in an oven, but discover that she didn't die from inhaling gas. Grissom, Sara and Greg investigate a [...] at a chicken processing plant which, after another miniature model of the crime scene in discovered, aids them in solving the previously unsolved murders.

Catherine testifies in a [...] trial in which a man is accused of murdering his own mother three years ago, but the suspect is found not guilty. Catherine, however, believes he did commit the crime and that he may also have killed two other people, so she sets out to find the other victims. Catherine's probe leads to a small Nevada town where an elderly woman and her daughter were fatally stabbed and shot three years earlier. Back at the lab, Grissom prepares to leave on a four-week sabbatical.

Catherine investigates the [...] of a runaway teen whose [...] body is found in a desert lot behind a hotel. Helping with the case is Mike Keppler (played by Liev Schreiber), an experienced CSI from Baltimore who is the newest hire on the day shift but is filling in temporarily on the night shift since Grissom is on sabbatical. Their investigation reveals the dead girl may be the victim of a serial killer whose slayings may go back decades.

Keppler persuades Catherine to help him fake a crime scene and deceive their colleagues in a controversial plan to catch the west coast's biggest illegal [...] supplier, who is the leading suspect in the [...] of an anti-[...] assemblyman who was gunned down in the desert. Keppler concocts the plan when the suspect disappears and his trail grows cold after several weeks.

Nick and Keppler investigate the possible selling of body parts on the Black Market after they find a charred body of an ex-con in a welding shack with several body parts removed. The rest of the team investigates the death of a millionaire's wife, beaten to death with a champagne bottle in her home. Suspicion falls on the husband, who claims he found her after returning home early from a business trip.

Keppler finds himself having recurring nightmares about an incident many years ago in New Jersey, which get worse when a friend of his, a retired cop from Trenton and the father of his late girlfriend comes into town to visit. Soon, the bodies of a New Jersey police officer and a hooker are found shot to death in a hotel room, the left hand of the dead woman cut off. To Keppler's dismay, the one who found the bodies is none other than his friend! Back at the lab, Grissom returns from his sabbatical and learns about the friction caused by Keppler while he was away.

Grissom is shocked when he opens a package sent to him while he was on sabbatical and finds a miniature crime scene inside, especially as the case of the previous miniatures was supposed to have been closed. Investigation reveals the [...] depicted has not yet taken place but is likely to occur soon, so Grissom and the team work to analyze the miniature and find the real location before a tragedy can occur.

Grissom and his team are discouraged when they find a pool of blood as they begin investigating the disappearance of a high school basketball star named Ryan and his cheerleader girlfriend. Grissom's quip that the young lovers may have run off to Mexico is soon quashed by the discovery of drops of blood by Ryan's vacant parking spot at the school. After finding a letterman jacket and cheerleading sweater in the field house and a pool of Ryan's blood nearby, the team tries to determine what went awry.

Six showgirls are murdered in their rented house and Sara is haunted by the dying words of the last victim, as she dies in Sara's arms. The investigation reveals the women's necks were slashed with a knife and that Warrick believes he knows one of the victims. Also, Greg gets some disturbing information from Grissom about the civil suit filed against him.

While investigating the [...] of a thug gunned down in a limo, the CSI team discovers that the case has ties to the brother of the man Greg killed in self-defense.

Hodges convinces fellow lab rats Archie, Henry, Mandy and Wendy that Grissom wants them to secretly investigate the so-called miniature murders while the CSIs are in the field probing other crimes.

When a has-been boxer is killed, the CSIs must establish which of several life-threatening acts actually killed him.
