List of Calgary neighborhoods by crime rate
The following tables are the top 30 neighborhoods in Calgary by crime rate. It is based on data released on the Calgary Police Service open data portal. Data is organized by year.
In 2019, the crime rate in Calgary was much higher than the national average, but it had fallen by 2024 to below the national average. An inspector with the Calgary Police notes that a lowered crime rate may not always make residents feel safer.
Areas in the upper Southeast Calgary region of crime have historically seen significant issues with crime; such as Downtown East Village, Forest Lawn, Manchester, Southview, Shepard and Inglewood. However some of these neighborhoods such as Forest Lawn and Ramsay have been under socio-economic changes, and have been described as ongoing gentrification. Notable plans have been put into place to address these issues in this region such as the Downtown Calgary Task Force, the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone, and the Chinook Local Area Plan.

In the first quarter of 2025, the city of Calgary saw notable decreases in property crime and miscellaneous criminal offences from the 5 year average. However violent incidents increased.
