About a month later, Pizza Hut began selling key-clip versions of this Beanie (hence it was called Bali Key-clip). To this day, the Ty web site has never introduced, retired, or acknowledged Bali Key-clip, although an image URL does exist for this Beanie within the site.

Blizzard the white tiger	12/12/96	5/11/97	5/1/98	A long-standing rumor was that Ty Inc. was being taken to court over the use of Blizzard's name by Dairy Queen, a popular ice cream franchise that marketed frozen treats of the same name. It was said that Blizzard was to retire quickly. Collectors, dealers and stores were claiming to receive some white tigers in their shipments with the name "Snowflake," although this whole situation proved to be nothing more than a rumor, and Blizzard's current life lasted for about a year (which in later collecting years, is not considered to be a quick retirement). Other versions were not called "Blizzard." A Teenie Beanie released in 2000 was named "Blizz," and the buddy was called "White Tiger."

Collectors claimed that these two styles were fakes or cheap imitations of actual Beanies and did not believe them to be true. This was also during a time that a doctored photo of an alleged new bear surfaced called "Merry," a maroon bear with a chrysanthemum on its chest. The latter turned out to be fake while Zero and Santa were authentic.
