Lisa Lynne Mathis

Lisa Lynne Mathis (born October 16, 1969) is a singer-songwriter from Irvington, New York. She has toured with Liz Phair and as part of Lilith Fair alongside the Indigo Girls, Bonnie Raitt and Sarah MacLachlan. Additionally, she has appeared on The David Letterman Show and Showtime television.

Mathis’ original songs are heavily influenced by the introspective style of female artists including McLachlan, Norah Jones and Tori Amos. She has recorded and sung with the Broadway Inspirational Voices as well as professional choirs worldwide, including New York City’s famed Riverside Choir.

Mathis received vocal and piano training from the Interlochen Arts Camp Summer Program and later, her B.F.A. in classical theatre and music from Carnegie Mellon.

Her first full-length solo CD, Hancock Place [Garagista Music]1 is scheduled for release in 2007.
