LG Chocolate (VX8600)

The LG Chocolate VX8600 mobile phone was released by Verizon Wireless in late 2006, after the Chocolate. The clamshell design of the phone and its slim design make it a hefty competitor for the Motorola RAZR and KRZR. According to Verizon Wireless's website, it measures 3.89 inches tall, 1.93 inches wide, and .58 inches thick. For size reference, the RAZR is wider, but .57 inches thick. The KRZR is AbOUT a half inch taller and .67 inches thick. The LG VX8600 is Verizon's 3rd thinnest phone, behind the LG VX8700 and Motorola RAZR, and has most features, such as V_CAST, VZ Navigator (Verizon's new GPS Service) Bluetooth, Video Messaging, and Chaperone Parent to track your child's Migo phone. It is also an MP3 player. It costs $130 with a rebate and 2 year contract. Otherwise, it costs approx. $280.

This phone was also released by Alltel. From that service, it is available in three colors: marine blue, shimmering gold, and apple green. However, this version is called the AX8600.

In Canada, the phone has been released through Telus Mobility and is available on a 3 year contract for $99.99 and includes a 1 GB microSD memory card and memory card reader/writer. The (undocumented) speakerphone is accessed by pressing and holding the back button.
