Lebanon (band)

Lebanon is an Israeli band. They play complex, guitar-driven post-rock, reminiscent of Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky.

Biography

The band has grown out of a former project by the two guitarists of the band, Juval Haring and Avinoam Sternheim, when they played in high school as "The Noisy Mornings" (Ha'Bkarim Ha'Roashim). They have reinvented themselves as Lebanon circa 2004, and have joined the growing indie rock scene of Tel Aviv.

Following a two-song debut EP titled "Ghost Head Nebula" (released by Pit/Kit Records, 2005), they have released a full-length album on the Fast Music imprint, "Sunken City", which featured the poet Roni Hirsch, and was recorded by Amir Schorr. Following the recordings, they parted with their original drummer, Adam Cohen, and replaced him with Ira Morstein.

Following extensive tours in North America, they signed to the Austin, TX based Australian Cattle God record label, where they have released their sophomore effort, Planet Rubble.

Today they play live mostly in Israel, as they work on future releases.

Juval Haring currently plays in a duo psychedelic project named Tv Buddhas Tv Buddhas.
